Motor Vehicle Accidents and Treatment
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS (MVA)
Balance Chiropractic has practitioners that can assist with processing Motor Vehicle Accident claims and treatment of soft tissue injuries. If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident and require either chiropractic care and/or massage therapy treatment, our Patient Care Services team is able to assist you with navigating the paperwork, the claims process and scheduling a treatment plan.
Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA)
Upon being involved in at motor vehicle accident many people search out chiropractic care after their accident in order to help them heal injuries caused by the collision.
Just like physiotherapy, spinal manipulation may help some patients regain mobility and minimize pain after an accident.

WORKPLACE SAFETY AND INSURANCE BOARD (WSIB)
We process and accept WSIB claims....
WISB was created by the Ontario government and is responsible for administer the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA). WSIB is funded by Ontario employees who pay premiums for no-fault collective liability insurance. WSIB and the OCA (Ontario Chiropractic Association) work very closely together.
WSIB has three programs of care that work with the Chiropractors.
•WSIB MSK Program of Care
•WSIB LBP (Lower Back Pain) Program of Care
•WSIB Shoulder Program of Care
WSIB MSK Program of Care
The MSK Program of Care ideal patients are:
An allowed WSIB claim, within 8 weeks from the date of injury or recurrence
No clinical evidence of red flags and no evidence of orange or yellow flags that are a barrier to participation in the active rehabilitation program
A diagnosis of one injury or more to a muscle, tendon, ligament, fascia, intra-articular structure or any combination of these structures, causing mild to moderate tissue damage (Grade I or II)
WSIB LBP Program of Care
The LBP Program of Care includes two phases of care and is for those who have injured their lower back. Phase 1 (weeks 1-4) and Phase 2 (weeks 5-8) and must be applies for within 6 weeks of injury. Upon initial visit your doctor will decide if the LBP Program of Care is sufficient and ideal for you and your treatment.
WSIB Shoulder Program of Care
The Shoulder Program of Care is for those who have injured their shoulders while at work and meet the eligibility criteria. The doctors at Balance Chiropractic will determine whether or not you meet this criteria and begin the program of care, of which can last up to 8 weeks. If you experience difficulty finding the answer to your questions, please contact our office directly. We can answer most of your work compensation related questions.
Chiropractic treatment services are provided and billed by Clinic. Balance Chiropractic will provide you with a statement that you can submit to your insurance company to instruct them to send reimbursements directly to you. This can be done either lectronically or a printed copy will be made available. Please be aware that with many health plans Chiropractic Care may be under "Other" treatments.
